Tales of Tirunia is designed to be enjoyed for many years to come. However, as a live-service game, we recognize that no online world lasts forever. In the unlikely event that we ever need to sunset the game, we've created a transparent plan that puts the community first and ensures the world of Tirunia can live on.
Both the game server and client codebases will be fully open-sourced under an appropriate license. This includes all necessary components to run the game, allowing the community to host their own instances and potentially continue development.
We'll provide clear, detailed documentation on how to set up, configure, and maintain your own Tales of Tirunia server. This will include system requirements, deployment guides, troubleshooting resources, and best practices for server administration.
An opt-in data migration tool will be provided to allow players to transfer their game progress, characters, items, and other in-game achievements to community-hosted servers. This tool will strictly respect player privacy and exclude any personally identifiable information (PII). We'll ensure a seamless transition for players who wish to continue their journey in Tirunia.
